Morris Clayworks Pottery and Plaques by Bob and Leslie
![]() |
In 1968 Bob and Leslie Morris, Kristin's parents, moved to Springfield from New York City when Bob began teaching at Wittenberg University. Bob always dabbled in art, and has done numerous scientific illustrations for journal articles. Leslie began taking pottery classes at the Springfield Museum of Art in 1972, fell in love with clay, and has been a potter ever since. Currently she specializes in functional stoneware, as well as windchimes. Bob creates stoneware clay plaques, and hand carves many of Leslie's candle holders. Bob, Leslie and Knistin have been exhibiting at art shows and in shops and galleries for many years, both as a family and individually. Most of their creations are one-of-a-kind. |
